The holidays are here, which means peppermint bark is back in stores. I decided to find a peppermint bark macaron recipe.
With Christmas coming in only….17 DAYS!!! You all must be thinking of new ideas to bake macarons. Today I come with some ideas I figured would be easy to complete. Much of these came from inspiration on pinterest.
For those of you who eat gluten free, diary free, grain free, low carb and soy free things (one or all of the above), HAVE NO FEAR! There are such macarons. All thanks to the young and talented Alessandra Peters. You have no idea how talented she is! She started to create her own nutritious recipes when she was only 15 years old! She’s become an internet sensation and just a few months published her first (of many I’m sure!) recipe book. Anyway check out this special macaron recipe of hers!
As I was searching up new macaron recipes to try, I came across Spinklebakes.com . It’s a pretty cool website with tons of recipes. It’s run by the talented Heather Baird. She is a trained pastry chef and has a couple of recipe books under her belt, she is also a freelance recipe developer and photographer.
Anyway this recipe, “Harmonie Chantilly” caught my eye as I was scrolling down. It’s basically a GIANT pistachio macaron cake!
When it comes to macarons, we all know how creative one can get with the cookies. Whether its the color, shape or flavor, you can get really creative and experiment with new ideas and techniques.
BUT, you can also get pretty creative with packaging macarons as well! I always believe that details matters, even the small ones, therefore a cute packaging for your macaron cookies will definitely seal the deal – especially if you’re giving them away as a favors or gifts (check out one of my previous blog DIY: Macaron for Weddings for similar ideas).
A fun and cute use for macarons (other than eating) would be for weddings! Macarons are great for wedding favors, on the treat table or even as a wedding cake.
